Inspire Project 2009-2011

The Inspire Project was a four year long residency for four separate artists at four different venues!
As part of the project, the artists undertook development work in 12 early childhood settings, produced 18 original arts performance pieces and engaged with over 10,000 people overall.

Storypages 2012/13

Books provide a familiar access point for children, parents and staff and Story Pages explored how to use books as a starting point for guided interactive play with under 5s. Geraldine Heaney worked in Glenbrae Children’s Centre in Greenock for 10 weeks and work alongside musicians and visual artists as the project developed.

Moving Matters: Play, Create, Imagine 2015/16

Creative movement artist Skye Reynolds led a 5 month residency project at Hillend Children’s Centre in Greenock which aimed to explore the impact consistent creative movement sessions had on the children, parents and staff.

Talking Tales with Andy Cannon 2015/16

Having worked on the Creative Skills Programme, Storyteller Andy Cannon was inspired to work with Early Years practitioners striving to ensure their nurseries were becoming more creative environments. Following on from that, Andy delivered a pilot project looking at playful ways to explore language and support language development with children aged 2-3 using stories and storytelling.

Toddle Tours 2016

In Spring 2016 we offered 8 Toddle Tour sessions at the National Galleries of Scotland which included creative play activities designed for children aged 2-5 to enjoy with their adult. Activities included messy play, outdoor sculpture building, mud painting and unstructured play in a range of locations around the galleries inspired by selected art exhibits on display.
