In 2009 Starcatchers embarked on the Inspire Project, a two year programme which saw 4 artists take up residencies in 4 different cultural venues across Scotland (Tramway, Platform, OnFife & The Byre Theatre).

The four artists who worked on the Inspire Project were Matt Addicott (Platform, Glasgow), Katy Wilson (Tramway, Glasgow), Hazel Darwin-Edwards (The Byre Theatre, St Andrews), Sacha Kyle (Carnegie Hall/Lochgelly Centre, Fife)

The artists were given the opportunity to explore different methods of performing and engaging with very young children in each of these settings and created a number of creative experiences during their residency years.

At the end of the project in 2011 Starcatchers hosts the second International Symposium reflecting on the work of the Inspire project and other key developments in arts and Early Years in Scotland.
