Jayne graduated from Anniesland College (2004) as a Community Dance Artist (HND) and has since worked in community development, full-time freelance dance artist and project co-ordinating. She has worked with people of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings and in collaboration with other artists; mostly working with children in early years and in primary schools delivering creative dance projects. She was the lead facilitator for Dance House Boogie Babies project (2008-2011) and from that experience created her own system of early years dance called Spinning Tots. She has delivered and supported development of Micro Movers at Beacon Arts in Greenock, Boogie Beats in South Lanarkshire and has delivered Continuing Professional Development with Glasgow Life and Starcatchers.

Jayne has worked with a variety of artists and companies such as Royston Maldoom, Janice Parker, Paragon Ensemble, Brian Hartley (Still Motion/Wee dance We groove), Norman Douglas, Jane Simpson and Natasha Gilmore in role as support artist/choreographer and performer. She danced with Scottish Ballet’s Elev8 with Maxine Railton (2002-2004) and Fire Box with Susan Elena of DanceHQ (2004-2006). She delivered the Nutcracker schools project for Scottish Ballet (2003) and has made commissioned work with young people for Choose Life and Argyll and Bute council.

Jayne currently lives in Millport and travels throughout Scotland delivering projects. She is currently focusing on coaching other artists to get their best work into the world and has a vision to create theatre for families with children in early years.
