Matt Addicott is a performance maker and theatre director. He first worked with Starcatchers in 2007, performing in Little Light created by Andy Manley and Vanessa Rigg. He was Starcatchers Artist in Residence at Platform in Easterhouse, Glasgow.
Whilst in post he created numerous new and original works for early years audiences including live performances The Incredible Swimming Choir, First Light, This Workshop Sucks, The Elf Experiment and The Cloud Factory. He also collaborated with visual artist and designer Katy Wilson, filmmaker and animator Joanna Süsskind and numerous children and staff from nurseries across central Scotland to produce the short films This Sucks: The Movie and News + Weather.
Matt has directed productions for Visible Fictions, Platform, A Moment’s Peace, Imaginate and Greenwich Theatre. He is currently developing a new performance for early years audiences with Gomito and Polka Theatre called Chester Tuffnut.
A regular contributor to the Creative Skills programme, Matt is proud to be a Starcatchers Associate Artist.
