the emergence of a baby or other young from the body of its mother; the start of life as a physically separate being.
the way in which two or more people or things are connected, or the state of being connected.
Every new relationship is a journey – it can be tender, competitive, challenging, joyful. But where does that begin?
Join us at the ringside of our mini arena for MamaBabaMe to witness this exciting new dance, theatre and live music experience made especially for infants and their grown ups. Through playful movement, dance and sound, MamaBabaMe explores these profound new relationships and how this eternal bond evolves and grows.
Everyone will recognise something of their own relationships, as parent or child – this is a show for young children and anyone who’s ever been one!
MamaBabaMe has been created by Curious Seed’s Artistic Director Christine Devaney and features live music composed by Greg Sinclair; the innovative dance piece is performed in the round in a purpose built space designed by Yvonne Buskie.
She loved the interaction from the performers
Absolutely loved it. My 2 1/2 year old son and partner did also. Loved the interaction. As a newcomer to shows like mama baba me I was surprised at how much I could relate and understand.

I found it quite emotional as a mum and enjoyed watching my son engage. The standard of music/performance was excellent.
Entranced by @starcatchersuk & @CuriousSDance #MamaBabaMe this morning. What an amazing experience for tiny ones. The set design was fab. pic.twitter.com/Kkk34RoKHl

Absolutely brilliant. Beautiful observations of tiny children. Just perfect.
“Innocent and enchanting, the choreography is a deliciously stylised representation of the relationship between mother and newborn… The piece is brilliantly conceived, wonderfully choreographed and beautifully performed.” Sunday Herald 21.05.17 Mark Brown
