MAGIC POTION PICTURES

Children love gathering and mixing all kinds of store cupboard ingredients to make potions. Once their potion is complete, add washing up liquid and paint or food colouring, use a straw to bubble up lots of bubbles, then lay some paper over the top to let the bubbles make a magic potion picture.

BODY ART

Does your wee one get more pen on themselves than the page? Today that’s OK! An hour before bathtime, grab washable felt tips, face paint or
anything safe for skin, and start drawing patterns on your arms, legs, anywhere you can reach.

EDIBLE SPA DAY POTIONS

Wee ones love exploring and mixing different ingredients, and these ones can be smeared on your FACE! Oats, banana, avocado, yoghurt, coconut oil and honey all make great face masks.

ACTIVE STORYTELLING

Wee ones don’t always sit still with a book but we can still share stories! Choose a story you know well, gather objects in a bag or box (like teddies and bowls for Goldilocks). Reveal the
objects one by one as you ‘act out’ the story.

SECRET SENSORY DENS

Den-making is a fantastic form of imaginative play. A den can, after all, be anything! After you build your den, secretly add objects with a variety of textures, weights and shapes for your
wee one to discover…Who left them there?!
